I need your help to fund decent work organizing!
This year, I'm participating in the Workers' Bowl - an annual charity event run collaboratively by the Ontario Employment Education & Research Centre (OEERC) and the Workers’ Action Centre.
All funds raised will directly benefit precarious workers through:
- Training: funding the annual training program run by the Workers' Action Centre
- Senior Leader Program: funding the work of these workers as they develop skills in community outreach, public education, and rights in the workplace
- Education: ESL classes that focus on workplace rights language
- Organizing: infiltrating our communities through media, outreach, and online programs
All of this is done in Mandarin, Bengali, Punjabi, Somali, Spanish, and Tamil. Can you believe it?!
It's time for us to step up and help ensure this work continues - please consider making a donation to my page today.

Why Teachers Stand with Workers
Saturday 1st NovAs educators, we know that dignity at work is not a privilege — it’s a right. Â
Every day, we see the impact that poverty, precarious jobs, and systemic inequality have on our students and their families.Â
When parents are forced to work multiple low-wage jobs without benefits or stability, it affects our classrooms and our communities.
That’s why we’re proud to bowl for the Workers’ Bowl, supporting the Workers’ Action Centre and the Ontario Employment Education & Research Centre (OEERC). These organizations build power for workers who are too often left behind — racialized, immigrant, and non-unionized workers fighting for fair wages, job security, and respect.
In a time of rising fascism, corporate greed, and deepening inequality, solidarity across sectors is more urgent than ever. Teachers know that when workers organize, our democracy strengthens. When we lift up those at the margins, we lift everyone.
Join us in standing shoulder to shoulder with workers across Ontario.Â
Together, we’re building a movement for decent work, fair pay, and justice for all.
