I need your help to fund decent work organizing!
This year, I'm participating in the Workers' Bowl - again! The Workers' Bowl, the OEERC and WAC are near and dear to my heart. I got my start in part as a student volunteer at WAC, at its offices around the corner from my first Ontario apartment. Their work is impressive, and their people are, too.
All funds raised will directly benefit precarious workers through:
- Training: funding the annual training program run by the Workers' Action Centre
- Senior Leader Program: funding the work of these workers as they develop skills in community outreach, public education, and rights in the workplace
- Education: ESL classes that focus on workplace rights language
- Organizing: infiltrating our communities through media, outreach, and online programs
All of this is done in Mandarin, Bengali, Punjabi, Somali, Spanish, and Tamil. Can you believe it?!
